George Arlook is one of the most innovative and distinctive sculptors working in the Kivalliq region. Arlook works in a formalized and recognizable abstract style. Undulating, round transformational figures are his signature. He was an apprentice to some of the region's top sculptors, including John Kavik, John Tiktak and John Pangnark. this, in addition to living in Kangirqliniq (Rankin Inlet), Arviat and Qamani'tuaq, has contributed to the development of his style.
